New York Association of Psychiatric Rehabilitation Services (NYAPRS), a nationally acclaimed behavioral health systems change agent based in Albany, NY, is dedicated to promoting the recovery, rehabilitation, rights and community inclusion of people with psychiatric disabilities or diagnoses. NYAPRS is currently seeking a number of positions to join our dynamic team.
Director of Managed Care Readiness Initiatives
Under the direction of the Director of Systems Transformation, the Director of Managed Care Readiness Initiatives will develop and implement training and technical assistance both in NY and nationally to assist behavioral health agencies transitioning to managed care.
The successful candidate will have a Master’s degree and 10+ years’ experience in behavioral health with at least 5 of those in management, experience in formal training or leading groups, solid relationship-building and communication skills, and a high level of personal accountability and initiative. Experience and understanding of direct service provision and managed care is highly preferred.
NYAPRS is a peer operated human services organization and people with a lived experience of the mental health system are highly encouraged to apply.
Valid driver’s license and ability to travel extensively also required. The position is located in our Albany office but will consider remote employment.
Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
Under the direction of the Executive Director, the CFO will insure compliance with all regulatory requirements including GAAP, FASB and NYSOMH and oversee all aspects of the finance department, playing a strategic role on the leadership team. The CFO will organize systems, reports, procedures and documentation protocols that result in and insure strong budgetary planning, control and forecasting while working collaboratively to provide expert guidance to managers through regular reports to help us accomplish our budgetary and program goals and objectives including the development and dissemination of relevant dashboards. The NYAPRS CFO will develop and maintain a financial data management system that insures strong daily operations, budgeting, and financial forecasting.
The successful candidate will have at least a Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or business and a minimum of 7 years of experience working in a senior role in the finance function of a privately owned business or non-profit organization. We are looking for the right person with excellent leadership skills, experience with state and federal funding, experience with billing Medicaid and other third party payers and knowledge of NYS cost reporting (CFR). Prior experience as a Comptroller, Finance Director or CFO strongly preferred.
