Looking Back: Moving Forward!
PROS was developed as a program that would transform the mental health system into one that supported and encouraged recovery by creating a “one stop shop” where people could access treatment, rehabilitation and self-help in an atmosphere of respect and mutual support. Revisit what PROS was designed for, what it was meant to achieve and what PROS was thought to be capable of. Then, let’s envision the PROS of the future and how it can be pivotal in managed care and value based payment and how it has to change a little to be successful in offering people what they need now in our new health care system.

PROS Transformation to Improve Population Health – Working with DSRIP, Health Homes, FQHCs and MCO’s
Medicaid redesign, Provider Performing Systems and DSRIP designs, and the overall transition to a managed, value based payment system require a transformation and “re-packaging” of PROS services and the ways in which they are delivered. Innovation and positioning services creatively is essential to the continued and enhanced success of PROS. This panel will share their experiences, lessons learned and their relationships with “new customers” such as PPSs, Health Homes, FQHCs and Managed Care Organizations as the system moves forward in improving and integrating care. Learn how your PROS program should be positioning itself as a critical component to improve overall population health.

New York’s Value Based Payment Roadmap: Where is the Path for PROS?
Value-Based Payment offers multiple paths to a stronger system of care, allowing for how an integrated delivery system should function. There will be a variety of options and integrated services that MCOs and PPSs/providers can jointly choose from. So how can PROS become involved in innovative projects focused on system transformation, service improvement? Hear from our state policy experts as they share the elements of what the State and its stakeholders consider to be the reforms required for high-quality, financially sustainable health care systems in communities across New York state. And, hear how PROS may have opportunities to work closely with MCOs, PPS/DSRIP projects and other stakeholders to optimally align these efforts with the best interest and person-centered needs of PROS participants.
