Tell the Governor That Correction Officers and Staff Need Proper Training to Address Inmates With Mental Health Conditions and Reduce Suicide.

 

This important piece of legislation would mandate that correction officers and staff receive annual suicide prevention training and training on how to generate the best outcomes when dealing with inmates who have a mental health condition. NYAPRS strongly supports this legislation.

 

Governor Cuomo only has until December 9^th to sign this bill so please act immediately!!
