Melody Riefer, M.S.W., is a senior program manager at Advocates Human Potential who has more than 30-years of as a practitioner, manager, educator, and consultant. Her
seasoned expertise has infused her work SAMHSA’s Bringing Recovery Supports to Scale Technical Assistance Strategy (BRSS TACS), Recovery to Practice (RTP), and State Technical Assistance (TA) initiatives. Her professional work is grounded in her lived experience
with psychiatric disorders as an individual and family member.
Melody’s presentation at NYAPRS 2016 will focus on strategies to integrate behavioral health and primary care to promote wellness that are recovery oriented, person centered, and trauma informed.
