Alert: Urge NY Leaders to Sign MOU to Fund Supportive Housing Commitment!
The holiday season is upon us- which means cold weather is also upon us. It is now more important than ever to advocate for more supportive housing, and you can do so by joining (and sharing) the Call to Action link below. NYAPRS and our many colleagues are trying to reach 20,000 messages by the end of the year, so there is still plenty of time to help us secure the funding for these vital housing units.
More than 3,000 messages have been sent so far, and we urge you to share this message and the link below with friends, family, colleagues, and others who may want to participate!

BACKGROUND
Last year we fought for a historic commitment from the State to fund 20,000 units of supportive housing over the next 15 years. As you know, we were able to get Governor Cuomo to make an appropriation of $2 billion to fund, among other things, the first 6,000 units of supportive housing over the next 5 years. However, the State has only released funding for the first 1,200 units.
In order to release the remaining funding, a memorandum of understanding (MOU) is required to be signed by the Governor, Senate and Assembly.
We need your help again! Help us send 20,000 messages to Albany – one for every supportive housing unit promised – to urge the Governor and Legislature to Sign the MOU TODAY and fulfill the supportive housing promise made last year! Just click through and tell them to SIGN THE MOU!
