Dear HCBS Provider:
The Coalition for Behavioral Health, Inc., the NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, the New York State Office of Mental Health and the New York State Office of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Services are hosting a series of networking opportunities for Adult Behavioral Health Home and Community Based Services (BH HCBS) providers both active and on hiatus, care management agencies (CMAs), lead Health Homes and managed care organizations (MCOs).
The intent of the networking event is to allow adult BH HCBS providers to introduce CMAs, lead Health Homes and MCOs to their agency and educate attendees about the behavioral health services offered to their participants and the community. It will also provide care managers with information needed to help adult BH HCBS eligible individuals make informed choices about where to receive services.
Approximately three networking events will be held in the first half of 2017. One event each will be held in Brooklyn, Manhattan and Queens with the possibility of adding additional events based on demand and need. The first event will be held on January 23, 2017 at EmblemHealth from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Adult BH HCBS providers will be provided with vendor tables on a first come, first serve basis and be given priority if they are designated and currently on active status to deliver at least one adult BH HCBS service in the borough the event is held. Adult BH HCBS providers are advised to have a representative (not necessarily the same person) on hand for the duration of the event. MCO, lead Health Home and CMA representatives may attend the event during any portion of the day to meet and network with others.
