According to Politico, NYS Gov. Andrew Cuomo will keep the state’s expiring millionaires tax as part of his executive budget and is proposing a $1 billion increase in aid to public schools,
The millionaires tax is estimated to bring in $3.7 billion a year,
Reportedly, the budget will also include “a $245 million to help nonprofits that care for the elderly and disabled grapple with increases in the minimum wage,’ with no change in federal funding for the Medicaid program.
