Gathering data to target outcomes is a difficult and daunting task. It’s important to establish sound data management practice before outcomes can be tracked successfully. Providers can be unsure of how to identify important data elements and how to collect, interpret and share data. MCTAC can help! MCTAC will be hosting a four part webinar series on Data Collection and Outcomes. This series will take providers through the process of deciding what to measure, how to collect data, review tools to interpret and communicate data, and how to use data to inform practice and demonstrate value. This webinar will provide a general overview of outcomes including information about the current healthcare environment and how to identify the value providers bring to the table. We will discuss how to measure what matters and how to prove it to stakeholders. Webinar 2: April 5, 2016 from 1-2pm Outcomes: How do I Collect Data? This webinar will provide a review of different types of data, a discussion of tools to use when collecting data and workflows for data collection. We will provide tips and tricks to assure data timelines, accuracy and availability. Webinar 3: April 19, 2017 from 12-1pm Outcomes: Making Sense of Data and Communicating Findings This webinar will demonstrate some of the basic data management and visualization tools readily available in MS Excel.
