NYAPRS Note: In a very impressive show of unity, representatives and members from 11 leading associations are working in tandem to press for salary hikes for a hard-pressed yet dedicated workforce who provide exemplary support to over a million New Yorkers with mental health and substance use conditions. We are really being heard in Albany by both key legislative leaders and staff, representatives from the Cuomo Administration and the public via extensive media coverage.
At the same time, there’s only a week to go for a NYS budget deal and lots of groups are pushing for a finite sum of money… so we have to make sure our voices are being heard from now until next Friday.
