NYAPRS Note: NYAPRS is very pleased to announce that this fall’s conference will feature 2 very special events: an airing of the nationally acclaimed film provocative documentary ‘Crazywise’ and a return of the very popular ‘Stand Up for Mental Health.” ‘Crazywise’ is an absorbing and powerful look at “what we can learn from people around the world who have turned their psychological crisis into a positive transformative experience.” This documentary has been inspiring and challenging audiences across the country and we’re so pleased that we’re able to bring it to this year’s conference.
Since 2004, David Granirer’s “Stand Up for Mental Health” program has helped thousands of Americans with mental health related conditions to deliver personalized comedy standup routines that have brought laughter and lightness about our shared experience. His work is featured by media worldwide and in the Voice Award winning Passionate Eye documentary Cracking Up. We’ve so loved enjoying the courage and comedy of our community that this is the 4th time we’re hosting this hilarious program.
