Breaking from NYAPRS: NYS Senate, Assembly Release Additional Spending Totals
Both houses of the NYS Legislature have just put out their own budget projections for the FY 2018-19 and, as expected, have identified over $1 billion more in potential spending than the Governor included in his Executive Budget Proposal.
The Assembly has identified another $1.25 billion while the Senate projects an additional $1.47 billion.
The Legislature and the Governor must agree to a common number by the end of tomorrow (no sleep for budget staff tonight).
That number will ultimately guide thet amount that both houses have to spend before a budget agreement is reached, ostensibly before the April 1 deadline.
