NYAPRS News: After much needed attention and the most recent deadly shooting of Saheed Vassell, a Brooklyn man with a known mental health condition, Governor Andrew Cuomo issued an executive order appointing the attorney general as special prosecutor to oversee investigations into incidents where unarmed civilians die during interactions with police. This investigation includes looking at incidents where there is significant question as to whether the civilian was armed and dangerous.
