NYAPRS Releases Program for Nov 14-15 NYAPRS/OMH Recovery & Rehab Academy in Saratoga: Register Today!

NYAPRS Note:  NYAPRS and the NYS Office of Mental Health, in collaboration with our partners at the Center for Practice Innovations and the Coalition for Behavioral Health,  are very pleased to release the attached program schedule for our Annual Recovery and Rehabilitation Academy for PROS and HCBS Practitioners that will be held November 14-15, 2019 at the Gideon Putnam in Saratoga Springs, NY. Entitled Pathways to Recovery: Multiple Roads to Well-Being,  our featured speakers include:

  • Nationally acclaimed filmmaker, motivational speaker, and peace activist Ken Nwadike, Jr

  • Dr. Mark Salzer, Director of the Temple University Collaborative on Community Inclusion of Individuals with Psychiatric Disabilities,

  • Lenora Reid-Rose, Director, Cultural Competence and Health Literacy, Coordinated Care Services Inc.

  • Robert Myers, Senior Deputy Commissioner; Liam McNabb, Director of Rehabilitation Services and Amanda Saake, Special Assistant to the Commissioner, NYS Office of Mental Health

  • Denard Cummings, Director, Bureau of Social Determinants, NYS Department of Health

  • James Rodriguez, Senior Research Scientist at the McSilver Institute for Poverty Policy and Research

  • Evelyn Frankford, Principal, Frankford Consulting and Amanda Costa, Project Director and Ian Lane, PhD Student, Research Coordinator, Transitions to Adulthood Center for Research, UMass Medical School
