NYAPRS News: In just 3 weeks, this year’s NYAPRS Annual Executive Seminar will look at ‘What’s Next’ in emerging state and national programmatic and policy trends.
First off, we’re expecting that Governor Hochul and the state legislature will reach a 2023-24 budget deal next week and that, accordingly, the first opportunity to get and discuss authoritative details from top state leaders will be at our Seminar’s April 18th “Outcomes and Implications of the new NYS Budget” session. This noon panel will feature OMH Commissioner Ann Sullivan, OASAS Commissioner Chinazo Cunningham and Chief Disability Officer Kim Hill. We hope to be joined as well by Jihoon Kim, NYS Deputy Secretary for Human Services and Mental Hygiene.
Over the 2-day program, Seminar attendees will also be able to:
learn about the state of best practice CCBHCs, expanding clubhouse programs and innovative peer services as delivered by public and for profit organizations
-
explore plans to advance a national agenda for recovery and a NYS realignment of OMH Clinics, PROS and CORE services as well as
-
strategies to maximize equity grounded leadership, workforce wellness and the successful integration of both DEI and whole person care approaches.
