The Alliance for Rights and Recovery (formerly NYAPRS) will be hosting a Forum in Binghamton for the Southern Tier Region Wednesday January 10th in preparation for our upcoming 27th Annual Legislative Day in Albany on March 5th! The Southern Tier Forum will be held from 11:00am-2:00pm at the Broome County Public Library’s Decker Room (185 Court Street, Binghamton, NY 13901).
The forum will offer an opportunity for people in the region to learn more about the services in the area from local service providers, including the Broome County Social Services and Community Mental Health Commissioner, Nancy Williams.
Attendees will also have a chance to hear from state representatives Assemblymember Donna Lupardo and Senator Lea Webb, tell us about issues you have seen related to rights and mental health services at the regional level, and learn about ways you can join The Alliance’s advocacy efforts from Luke Sikinyi. We will also raffle a full scholarship to The Alliance’s annual conference!
Come have your voice heard and learn more ways you can join efforts to improve the system! Contact Brandan Campbell (brandanmcampbell@gmail.com) or Luke Sikinyi (LukeS@rightsandrecovery.org) for more information. See below for agenda and flyer.
