The Center for Community Alternatives’ (CCA) 2024 Summer Organizing Institute is an opportunity for formerly incarcerated people, families with incarcerated loved ones, and allies to learn the ins-and-outs of grassroots organizing, legislative advocacy, and campaign strategy as we build a collective movement to end mass incarceration. Many leaders and members of CCA’s campaigns (Clean Slate, Communities Not Cages, and more) participated in prior years, and we hope many more will as we continue to build power in the fight to end mass incarceration, mass criminalization and perpetual punishment.
The Institute will begin Saturday, July 20th and run weekly on Tuesday evenings from July 23rd to August 27th. All sessions will take place on Zoom. The course is offered free of charge. Please apply for the Institute by July 1st, 2024.
