Are you passionate about mental health advocacy and public policy? The Alliance for Rights and Recovery is seeking motivated interns to join our Public Policy & Advocacy Internship Program! This is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in mental health policy, legislative advocacy, and community engagement while working with a national nonprofit dedicated to social justice and disability rights.

Internship Details
Location: Albany, NY
Duration: 8 weeks (full-time), 6/9/2025-8/1/2025
Responsibilities:
Conduct research on mental health policies and legislation.
Assist in advocacy campaigns and community engagement efforts.
Write policy briefs, advocacy letters, and social media content.
Participate in grassroots organizing and legislative outreach.
Support event planning for advocacy forums, webinars, and rallies.
Who Should Apply?
Students or recent graduates in public health, public policy, law, communications, or related fields.
Strong communicators with research and analytical skills.
Passionate about mental health advocacy and social justice.
Organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
