On March 31, 2025, the Bazelon Center issued this explainer on how Medicaid work requirements would affect people with mental health disabilities. The explainer makes clear that Medicaid work requirements would result in large numbers of people with mental health disabilities losing key services, and instead of increasing employment, these requirements would make it harder for people to work.
