Join us while Families Together in New York State shares tips and resources to support your recruitment and hiring of Family Peer Advocates (FPAs). FPAs are incredibly important in supporting families in their mental health journey. As more programs are integrating Family Peer Support Services into their work, it is helpful for organizations to create a planful process for recruiting FPAs. What experience, skills, and characteristics should you look for to build a team of FPAs to empower and support families? Participants will learn strategies for screening candidates, how and where to find parents/caregivers who meet the credential qualifications, tips on interviewing, and so much more.
