Dear colleagues,
We’re reaching out again to invite you to participate in our third virtual town hall meeting to discuss recent federal actions. Understandably, the concern over the impact of federal actions on critical mental health programs was well established even before the federal government shutdown. As we pledged during our meetings on July 21 and Aug. 6, we are committed to working together to diminish the impact these actions may have on the important services we provide statewide.
At 2 p.m. on Friday, October 24, we will be hosting another town hall to explore new developments at the federal level and respond to your questions and concerns. We will also discuss the importance of workforce development and the role it can play in helping us provide vital care amid these new challenges.
No advance registration is necessary to attend the meeting – simply click on this link. You will be asked to provide your name and an email. You may also join us by phone by calling +1-415-527-5035 and using the access code 283 253 55023. In the event you are asked for a password, please enter ‘omh123’ when dialing from a phone or video system.
Despite federal headwinds, OMH remains committed to promoting mental health for all New Yorkers and providing hope and recovery for anyone living with mental illness.
Respectfully,
Ann Marie T. Sullivan, MD
