Alliance Alert: The mental health community plays a vital role in shaping policies and services that promote equitable access to employment and training opportunities. The upcoming Virtual Public Input Opportunity hosted by the New York StateEducation Department’s ACCES-VR and the State Rehabilitation Council (SRC) is an important platform for individuals with lived experience of mental health challenges—as well as their families, advocates, and service providers—to ensure their voices are heard. Your participation will help ACCES-VR and SRC better understand the unique barriers faced by people with mental health conditions in obtaining and maintaining employment, accessing training, and advancing their careers. By sharing your perspectives and recommendations, you can help inform strategies that benefit individuals in recovery.
