Accessible Food Pantries and Resources in New York State
In honor of Thanksgiving, we’re sharing some information about accessible food pantries and resources throughout New York State, organized by region.
This is part of an ongoing project to build a comprehensive list aimed at helping people identify which food pantries, kitchens, and other resources in their region are accessible.

New York City
Catholic Charities Brooklyn and Queens – Our comprehensive network includes strategically located food distribution centers and accessible food pantries throughout the boroughs, including home-delivered meals.
Community Health Action of Staten Island (CHASI) Food Pantry –Located at 2134 Richmond Terrace in Port Richmond (S40 bus to Sharpe Ave.) They have a wheelchair accessible entrance and parking lot, and they also operate a mobile food pantry that visits various neighborhoods.
Church of the Good Shepherd Food Pantry – Disabled individuals or those who have extenuating health-related circumstances that preclude their ability to physically pick up food on Saturdays can have food delivered to them if they live within zip codes 10033, 10034 or 10040.
God’s Love We Deliver – 166 Avenue of the Americas, New York, NY 10013
Prepares and home-delivers nutritious, medically tailored meals for people living with a chronic or life-altering illness or other serious condition. Registered dietitian nutritionists work with you to design your individualized meal plan. (They support healthcare providers getting meals for their partners, too).
Helping Hands for the Disabled of NYC – offers a food pantry delivery service once a month to all 5 boroughs.
Joan & Alan Bernikow JCC Food Pantry – 1466 Manor Rd, Staten Island, NY 10314
Our accessible pantry is unique in that families can pick the items they want from our extensive, healthy selection. Users can “shop” online for their food, similar to grocery pickup services like Instacart. All food in our pantry is Kosher and Halal.
Roosevelt Island Disabled Association (RIDA) Food Pantry – at the Cultural Center at 546 Main Street, NY, NY, 10044.
Wheelchairs and strollers can gain entry via elevator.
Staten Island Hunger Task Force – This website offers a list of community refrigerators, pop-up pantries, food drives, and mobile pantries throughout Staten Island. Call ahead for accessibility information.

Long Island
Catholic Charities of Long Island – Every weekday, the Catholic Charities Meals-On-Wheels program delivers hot, nutritious meals to homebound seniors (age 60+) in Nassau and Suffolk counties.
Hempstead Food Share – Located outdoors every Sunday at 3:30pm at the parking lot at the intersection of North & Washington Streets, about 3/4 of a mile south of the Hempstead Train Station, Hempstead, NY 11550.
No documentation or paperwork is required. Bring a few bags and we’ll fill them up. Similar outdoor food shares take place inHuntington, Farmingdale, Wyandanch, and Bedford-Stuyvesant.
Long Island Cares (the Harry Chapin Regional Food Bank) – Enter your zip code to find the nearest food pantry to you. The list includes accessibility and languages spoken information.
Mobile Food Assistance Unit – MFAU (formerly MORE) provides information, referral assistance, and emergency food to communities across Long Island. The MFAU van delivers food directly where people need it, helping ease the burden of getting to a pantry for assistance.

Dutchess County Food Pantries – an updated and comprehensive list of food pantries by town. Call ahead of time for specific accessibility information.
Dutchess Outreach – 29 North Hamilton Street, Poughkeepsie, NY, 12601
Offering groceries, to-go meals, and produce. This location has awheelchair-accessible entrance and parking lot, and an accessible mobile health unit is also available. The location is also accessible by public transportation, as all Dutchess County public transit vehicles are equipped with lifts or ramps.
Capital District
Guilderland Food Pantry – 4 Charles Blvd. Guilderland, NY 12084
Serving Guilderland, Altamont, Voorheesville, Slingerlands, Albany (zip code 12203) and Schenectady (zip code 12303). This food pantry currently has a ramp but it is in need of repair, which will be completed by January 2026.
Higher Horizons Development Corp. – at the Macedonia Baptist Church on 26 Wilson Ave, Albany, NY 12205
This location is wheelchair accessible. In partnership with the Regional Food Bank, they also serve as a mass distribution site that provides food to over 350 households each month.
The Saratoga Food Pantry – 10 Franklin Street, Saratoga Springs NY 12866
The front entrance (facing Franklin Street) is wheelchair accessible, and they provide food, toiletries, laundry soap, and pet food.
Finger Lakes / Southern Tier
Broome County Food Resources – A list of food pantries by town (Binghamton, Deposit, Endicott, Johnson City, Vestal, etc.) Call ahead of time for specific accessibility information.

This food pantry has a wheelchair-accessible entrance and parking lot.
Geneva Center of Concern – 58 Avenue D. Geneva, NY 14456
This food pantry has a wheelchair-accessible entrance and parking lot.
House of Concern – 22 Locust St., Waterloo, NY 13165
This pantry offers a wheelchair-accessible entrance and parking lot.
Schuyler Outreach Food Pantry – at St. James Episcopal Church, 112 10th St. Watkins Glen, NY 14891
This pantry has a wheelchair-accessible entrance and parking lot.

Northern NY
The Lake Placid Food Pantry & Thrive and Thrift Shop – 21 Cummings Rd, Lake Placid, NY 12946
In addition to offering an accessible, enhanced food pantry and affordable clothing and household goods, Thrive and Thrift serves as a vital resource for community care and connection.
Schroon Lake Food Pantry – 1088 Rt. 9, Schroon Lake, NY 12870
Located in the lower level of the Schroon Lake Community Church Building, which is wheelchair accessible.
Ticonderoga First United Methodist Church Food Pantry – 1045 Wicker St. Ticonderoga, NY 12883
Accessible Food Pantry. If local schools are closed due to weather, the food pantry is also closed.
Central NY
The Table Community Food Pantry – 6099 Court Street Rd. Syracuse, NY 13206
It has both a wheelchair-accessible entrance and parking lot.
Food Bank of Central NY – 7066 Interstate Island Rd, Syracuse, NY
This is a fully accessible facility with a wheelchair-accessible entrance, parking, restrooms, and seating.
Samaritan Center – 215 N State St, Syracuse, NY 13203
Features a wheelchair accessible entrance and parking lot.
Utica Food Pantry
Western NY
Foodlink – 2011 Mt. Read Blvd. Rochester, NY 14615
This regional food bank has a wheelchair accessible entrance and parking lot.
Pavilion Community Food Pantry – Pavilion United Methodist Church, 11115 East Park Street, Pavilion, NY 14525
Pantry is fully wheelchair accessible. Church building has a lift. Clients can pick out their own food; pantry is a supermarket-style pantry.
The People’s Pantry of Rochester – 555 Avenue D, Rochester, NY 14621
This pantry has a wheelchair-accessible entrance, parking lot, and seating.
St. Peter’s Kitchen – 681 Brown St., Rochester, NY, 14611
For people struggling with food insecurity in the west side of Rochester. This kitchen/pantry is wheelchair accessible.
