We are excited to share an important step forward in advancing justice and supporting recovery: the Earned Time Act (A.1085/S.342) has officially passed out of the Senate Corrections Committee.
This is a meaningful milestone. The Earned Time Act would expand opportunities for incarcerated individuals to earn time off their sentences through participation in education, employment, treatment, and other rehabilitative programs. These are the very programs that support personal transformation, reduce recidivism, and help people successfully return to their communities.
Now, the focus shifts to the Assembly.
To keep this momentum going, we are calling on the Chair of the Assembly Corrections Committee, Erik Dilan, to bring the Earned Time Act forward for a vote.
Take Action Today
It only takes a few minutes to make a difference:
Call Assembly Member Dilan and urge him to move the bill forward
