Next Wednesday: Join OMH for a Statewide Conversation on Mental Health Priorities and Opportunities for Innovation!

October 21, 2026 by The Alliance for Rights and Recovery

Alliance Alert: The Alliance encourages our members and community partners to participate in an important statewide conversation hosted by the New York State Office of Mental Health (OMH) and MCTAC on Wednesday, October 28, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM at the Albany Capital Center.

This event offers an opportunity to hear directly from OMH leadership about the state’s priorities, ongoing initiatives, and opportunities to strengthen New York’s mental health service system. As New York continues to invest in expanding community-based services, supportive housing, and innovative approaches to engagement and recovery, it is critical that providers and system partners remain informed and actively participate in conversations about how these investments are implemented.

The Alliance encourages participants to bring their perspectives and ideas about strengthening voluntary, person-centered services, expanding access to support, investing in the workforce, and ensuring that people with lived experience have a meaningful voice in shaping the future of our mental health system.

We encourage our members, particularly program leaders and providers, to attend this important event, learn more about OMH’s direction, and help advance a stronger, more accessible, recovery-oriented system for all New Yorkers.
