In an effort to help us all process the events that unfolded in our Nation’s Capital on Wednesday afternoon, I feel compelled to offer you information and guidance to help inform these difficult conversations. Whether these conversation take place in the home, at the workplace, in our schools, communities or congregations, or at places worship, I believe that the mental health of our people has suffered so greatly under the stresses of COVID-19, drug overdoses and overdose fatalities, suicide, the civil unrest and social justice issues that have been so painful for so many members in our communities.
