An Alternative to Outpatient Commitment: NYS Based Peer-Led INSET Program
Over the past several years, Assembly Mental Health Committee Chair Aileen Gunther has funded a pilot program operated by the Mental Health Association of Westchester that has demonstrated high levels of success at voluntarily engaging and supporting previously unengaged individuals with significant needs via a nationally acclaimed peer-led alternative to a Kendra’s Law-based involuntary outpatient commitment order.
