NYAPRS Note: A broad and rapidly growing array of rights and recovery focused advocacy organizations and individuals have been outraged by NYC Mayor Eric Adam’s proposals to increase the use of coercion, police involvement and involuntary hospitalization in New York City and to see passage of legislation that would expand the use of coercion statewide.
