NEXT FRIDAY’S (2/24) NYAPRS New York City Forum: COLA, NYS Budget Advocacy Discussion w Harvey Rosenthal, and Criminal Justice; Free NYAPRS Conference Scholarship Available!

NYAPRS Note: Join NYAPRS Regional Coordinator Helen “Skip” Skipper, CEO Harvey Rosenthal, and Director of Public Policy Luke Sikinyi at next Friday’s New York City forum at John Jay College in Manhattan! Next week’s program will feature a presentation on the importance of advocacy by Christina Sparrock, an overview on the state of the NYS Budget by Harvey and Luke, and a review of important Criminal Justice reforms including Clean Slate, Treatment Not Jail, and Daniel’s Law. We’ll also explore local priorities and recommended actions, firm up plans for area advocates to participate in NYAPRS’ February 28th Annual Legislative Day and give out a free scholarship to the NYAPRS Annual Conference. See below for more information about the forum and how to reserve a spot on the bus!
