Based on the weather and our discussions with our lobbyist, media and legislative reps, we’ve decided to move our Annual Legislative Day from tomorrow February 28 to Monday March 13.
We hope to get better weather that day and, moreover, the Senate and Assembly are putting out their one house budget bills either on the 13th or right thereafter. This will trigger the start of serious negotiations between the houses and the Governor’s people and puts a March 13th event in a position of having a greater impact on those negotiations and resultant media coverage. Tomorrow the big news of the day will come from the Health/Medicaid Budget hearing.
We’re so sorry for the last minute notice and inconvenience that this will pose and hope that your folks, transportation and legislative appointment staff will be able to move to the 13th without too much difficulty. Please let me know if you need any help here.
